The organizers of Middle East Business Aviation (booth 1578) are at NBAA to do some last-minute marketing for the Dubai-based show, which takes place on December 11-13.

Ali Al Naqbi, chairman of the Middle East Business Aviation Association, and Michele van Akelijen, aerospace director of show organizer F&E, say they are talking to a number of prospective exhibitors.

Akelijen says numbers are expected to be 15% up on the previous event, in 2010, with 7,000 visitors and 375 exhibitors expected. "Up to 60" aircraft should be on the static, she says, compared with 43 last time.

MEBA is being held for the first time at the new Dubai World Central airport, although the venue will be the still-to-open passenger terminal. From 2014, it will move to a purpose-built expo facility, the same site as the 2013 Dubai air show.
