Accepted at the company's Long Beach final assembly site in California, the aircraft joins one delivered earlier this year and a first batch of two which were transferred to the Qatar Emiri Air Force during 2009. The Gulf state's in-service examples have so far participated in activities including supporting a Qatari detachment of Dassault Mirage 2000-5 fighters which participated in the NATO-led air policing activity over Libya last year, and delivering relief supplies to Chile, Haiti and Kenya.

Qatar's investment in airlift has also included its acquisition of four C-130Js from Lockheed Martin. The tactical transports were delivered during 2011.
