The US State Department has approved a possible $69 million deal to sell 30 air-launched missiles and related equipment to Australia.

The proposed package would be conducted under the US Foreign Military Sales Mechanism and includes up 14 Raytheon AGM-88B High Speed Anti-Radiation Missiles (HARM) and 16 ATK AGM-88E Advanced Anti-Radiation Guided Missiles (AARGM), says the US Defence Security Cooperation Agency in a statement.

The package also includes associated training equipment, logistical support, and other services.

The deal is likely related to Australia’s acquisition of 12 Boeing EA-18G Growler electronic warfare aircraft, which are now in production.
