P&W settles fraud

Pratt & Whitney is to pay the US Government $14.8 million to settle a 1995 fraud case involving US military-aid funds to Israel. The engine maker allegedly diverted $10 million to a slush fund controlled by Rami Dotan, a former Israeli air force officer.
