Significant supply contracts with NATO and the Canadian, Norwegian UK and US military mark UK firm Cooper Antennas (hall 2B, F101) as a young company to watch.
Founded in 2005, Cooper Antennas is a rapidly expanding company rooted in innovation and reliability. It designs, develops and manufactures antennas and anti-static dischargers for the civil and defence aerospace industries.
"Our speed of solution, short lead time and manufacturing quality is underpinned by a team of internationally respected antenna professionals and our own 80ft [24.3m] antenna test range," says managing director Geoff Cooper.
The company has established itself as a significant supplier to the US Air Force, Army and Marines. Achievements include winning separately contested Canadian, NATO and Norwegian requirements for UHF satcom antennas, lo-profile lo-band VHF airborne antennas for the UK Royal Navy, VOR/ILS antennas for Mach 2+ aircraft platform and static dischargers for the Lockheed Martin F-16.
Recent awards include multi-platform CSAR UHF DF and blade antennas and a conformal VHF/UHF LOS and UHF satcom antenna for a USAF supersonic fighter.
