Laurent Schneider-Mamoury, director of Messier-Dowty's Creusot factory, has been promoted to vice-president of operations, replacing Guy Giard, who is retiring. Raytheon's chief financial officer Frank Caine has resigned under a cloud after being sanctioned by US financial regulators earlier this year, when he passed analysts financial information without informing other investors. His replacement is corporate controller Edward Pliner. Wolfgang Mayrhuber, deputy chairman of Lufthansa, has succeeded Jürgen Weber as chairman and chief executive. Weber is likely to remain with the airline as a supervisory board member. Alitalia has named Luca Egidi as its new chief financial officer. He replaces Giovanni Lionetti, who is taking responsibility for internal auditing. ITT has named Christopher Bernhardt president and general manager of its avionics division. Bernhardt is currently VP and director of programmes. Jeppesen has appointed Mark Van Tine president and chief operating officer. Van Tine is currently executive vice-president for flight information development and information technology. He succeeds Horst Bergmann, who is retiring, as president.
