Singapore Airlines (SIA) plans to display Asiana Airlines' code on existing and future service between Singapore and the USA.
SIA will initially carry Asiana's code on its Seoul Incheon-San Francisco service, says the Singaporean carrier. SIA recently announced it will serve San Francisco nonstop from Singapore from 23 October, dropping the Seoul-San Francisco routing.
SIA plans to begin the codeshare arrangement on 14 July, it says in a filing with the US Department of Transportation.
The Singaporean carrier plans to begin a second daily flight to Los Angeles via Seoul from 23 October, complementing existing service via Tokyo Narita.
Both SIA and Asiana are Star Alliance members.
