Flexible material specialist Aero Sekur is showcasing its integrated helicopter survival system at Aero India 2011. The company says it will also announce plans to establish an MRO facility in India.
The survival concept is a combined shock absorption/flotation system, which is currently in deployment and is scheduled for production in 2012, says Aero Sekur.
It is designed to complement the company's life-raft system to increase survivability of helicopters and crews in forced landing situations, either on land or water, it adds.
The company is also showing its established aero engineering initiative, non pyrotechnic inflation system (NPIS), at the show. It is an intelligent, automated inflation solution for life-rafts and flotation systems, says Aero Sekur.
Additionally, the company is promoting its FAA and EASA certified repair services including repair of flotation systems, liferafts, aircraft escape slides and lifejackets.
Bangalore-based Sika Interplant Systems will support the global aerospace and defence company at the show.
