Six undisclosed customers accounted for more than 200 Airbus A320-family aircraft in December as the airframer rounded off 2014 with 1,321 net single-aisle orders.

The unidentified orders covered 214 jets including 156 for the re-engined A320neo family.

Airbus’s newly-released backlog figures for the year show that the agreements include a single order for 70 aircraft comprising 45 A320neos and 25 regular A320s.

The single-aisle backlog includes another batch of conversions from the baseline A320 to the A320neo.

These include Latin America’s LATAM switching 13 aircraft to their re-engined equivalents.

Budget carrier AirAsia and Yemeni flag-carrier Yemenia have each converted four A320s to the A320neo.
