Delta Air Lines is to start codesharing on Aeromexico flights to six Mexican cities from New York/JFK ,Los Angeles, Miami, Houston and Dallas-Fort Worth. Aeromexico will buy seats on Delta flights from Atlanta to Frankfurt, Washington/Dulles, Philadelphia and Detroit and from Dallas-Fort Worth to Boston. Delta was also to add a daily codeshare service with Austrian Airlines and Swissair between Washington/Dulles and Zurich.

Transavia was to add four weekly services from Amsterdam/Schiphol to Lisbon, three weekly flights to Barcelona and Nice as well as twice weekly flights to Djerba.

Lufthansa is to start a daily codeshare service with Air Canada from Frankfurt to Montreal via Halifax in June.

Air Jamaica has introduced a daily service from New York/JFK to Barbados via St Lucia or Antigua.

United Airlines was to launch its pure freighter operation between the US and Asia with services between Chicago and Los Angeles and Osaka, Taipei and Manila. Routes between New York, San Francisco and Tokyo, via Anchorage, will be added in September.

Qatar Airways has introduced twice weekly services to Trivandrum from Abu Dhabi and Dubai, via Doha.

EVAAir will launch thrice weekly flights from Taipei to Amsterdam via Dubai in May as well as twice weekly cargo services to Brussels.

Finnair was to launch a five times a week service between Lappeenranta and St Petersburg in April, when it was also to start codesharing with Maersk Air on 11 weekly return flights between Stockholm and Copenhagen.

Futura International is to launch twice weekly flights from Palma de Mallorca to London/Gatwick under the name of Futura Direct.

Northwest Airlines is to introduce a daily New York/Newark-Amsterdam codeshare service with KLM.

Avianca is to reintroduce a twice weekly service from Bogota to London/Heathrow.

Qantas was to discontinue first class service on domestic flights in April.

Air UK was to take over KLM's four daily flights from Amsterdam/Schiphol to Birmingham from 1 April. At the same time, Air UK was to merge its sales and marketing operation into KLM's.
