Alitalia profits grow

Alitalia's dramatic recovery continues, with early returns suggesting that group pre-tax profits are on course for L200 billion ($110 million), against little more than break-even a year ago. The results, which are ahead of analyst expectations, show a 6% growth in airline sales and a near doubling of operating margins.
