Eurocopter will be hoping to swell its order book for the EC155B even further during show week, after confirming the sale of two twin-engined machines in the run-up to Asian Aerospace.
The Franco-German manufacturer tied up an agreement with the Ministry of the Interior of Baden-Wuerttemberg for its police helicopter squadron.
The package includes a homing device, searchlight, weather radar, single pilot IFR, an NVG-compatible glass cockpit system and autopilot. It brings sales of the helicopter to 31 since its 1998 launch.
Eurocopter has a corporate-configured EC155B here at the show for customer demonstrations, although it will not be participating in the flying display.
A full-scale EC155 mock-up is also part of Eurocopter's stand display (Stand A702) and an EC120B Colibri is being shown as part of the Singapore Technologies exhibit.
