A consortium of three banks has closed a commercial loan facility covering one new Boeing 777-300ER aircraft for Thai Airways.

Crédit Agricole-CIB, the Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ and Kasikornbank Public Company acted as mandated lead arrangers of the a 12-year commercial loan.

The French bank is the global coordinator, facility agent and security trustee in the transaction.

The aircraft (MSN 42110) delivered on 21 January.

According to Flightglobal’s Ascend Online database, Thai Airways operates 15 aircraft of the type. It has another five units on backlog with deliveries scheduled through 2015.
