Beriev's Be-103 prototype crashed on 18 August during a familiarisation flight over the Zhukovski aerodrome in Moscow just before the start of the show.
The twin-engined multi-purpose Be-103 amphibian was first flown on 15 July and had had a further 18 flights during the first month of testing.
The pilot of the aircraft, the only one of the type built so far at Komsomolsk-on-Amur factory, was making a turn at an altitude of about 330ft (100m) when it went out of control before hitting ground near the runway. Company test-pilot Vladimir Ulyano was killed.
With a take-off weight of 2,050kg, the six-seat amphibian is powered by two Teledyne Continental piston engines and has Allied Signal/Collins avionics.
It is unclear what effect the crash will have on the programme - further prototypes of the aircraft are already nearing completion.
