Aircraft leasing firm Babcock & Brown Aircraft Management (BBAM) and partner Nomura Babcock & Brown ordered 20 Next-Generation Boeing 737-800s.
The aircraft will be delivered between 2008 and 2014, a BBAM spokesman says.
The $1.5 billion order, at list price, was previously attributed to an unidentified customer on the Boeing Orders & Deliveries website.
“Babcock & Brown Aircraft Management has experienced great success in placing the Boeing Next-Generation 737 with airline operators around the world and we look forward to taking delivery of these aircraft from Boeing, which will bring our fleet of Next-Generation 737s to more than 125 aircraft,” BBAM president Steven Zissis says in a statement.
