Braathens SAFE's all-Boeing 737 fleet is set to be boosted, with the leading Norwegian private airline placing orders for six 737-700s, and taking options on a further ten aircraft.
Braathens will take delivery of its first two aircraft in July and August 1998, with the remaining deliveries scheduled up to 2000. The options are due early in the next decade.
The airline's existing 25-strong fleet includes 120-seat 737-500s and 156-seat -400s, both in one-class layouts. The -700 will be equipped by Braathens with 134 seats. A further 737-400 and -500 will be delivered in March.
