China's Hainan Airlines has applied to start five new services to Algiers, Jeju and Singapore.

It plans to begin a Beijing-Cairo-Algiers service from June 2010.

The carrier will operate an Airbus A330 or A340 on the route four times a week, says the Civil Aviation Administration of China, which has to approve the application.

Hainan has also applied to start Dalian-Jeju, Nanjing-Jeju and Tianjin-Jeju services from December 2009, adds the CAAC.

Each service will be operated four times a week on Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

Hainan plans to begin a daily Shenzhen-Sanya-Singapore service as well from March 2010. It will be operated on Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
