Air Canada expands in USA - Air Canada has signed a new code-share agreement with United Express carrier Atlantic Coast Airlines, effective from 31 October. The agreement will enable Air Canada to offer 11 new destinations along the Eastern seaboard via Washington Dulles and Chicago. Cuban contract for TransAer - A $30 million contract with Cuban national airline Cubana has brought the value of 1999 contracts announced by Irish charter and wet-lease airline TransAer to $130 million. Rail pass - American Airlines has signed a marketing agreement with French Railways to provide connecting rail services from its US-Paris flights. Lille, Lyon and Nantes will be included initially. Delta increases 737-800 orders - Delta Air Lines has ordered an additional 18 Boeing 737-800s, bringing the total order book for the type to 125, of which less than 15 have been delivered. The 737-800s are being bought to replace its fleet of 727-200s.
