AgustaWestland has signed a deal with Malaysia's Weststar Aviation service for six AW139 and two AW189 helicopters.
The Malaysian company will use the helicopters to help with its expansion in Africa, South America and the Middle East, says Weststar group managing director Syed Azman Syed Ibrahim.
"We are delighted that Weststar, one of the world's leading offshore oil and gas transport service providers, has ordered more AW139 and AW189 helicopters to meet its future growth plans," says Geoff Hoon, managing director international business at AgustaWestland.
In addition, Weststar entered a memorandum of understanding with Eurocopter for two EC225 helicopters, which will begin operations in 2014.
