Indonesian carrier Lion Air has cancelled orders for seven Airbus A320s, including five of the re-engined A320neo.

Analysis of the latest order backlog data released by the airframer, covering the first five months of this year, has revealed the amendment.

Lion Air had originally agreed to take the jets in March 2013.

The data also shows cancellation of a pair of A320s by an undisclosed customer.

Airbus has formally accounted for the conversion of 30 A320neos to the larger A321neo by UK budget airline EasyJet.

EasyJet is converting 17 A320neos ordered in July 2013 and another 13 ordered in November 2015.
