-Air Europa has leased an ex-Carnival/Pan Am Boeing 737-400 from International Lease Finance (ILFC) for four years. The Spanish carrier leases two 737-300s and two 737-400s from ILFC.
-KLM uk has extended the terms on five British Aerospace 146-300s on lease from BAe Asset Management - Jets, but is returning its sole 146-100. Two are being extended for five years, to June 2003, and three for seven years, to June 2005.
-ING Lease Equipment Management has taken over the portfolio lease management of Shannon-based Airlease. The portfolio includes three Boeing 727s, five 737s and an MD-83.
-MK Airlines has sold an ex-African International Airways McDonnell Douglas DC-8-54 freighter to California-based Stage 3 Nacelle. The aircraft will be used as a testbed in the company's DC-850/61 short duct Pratt & Whitney JT3D-3B Stage 3 hushkit programme, and to test its winglet system.
-The UK division of Maersk Air has placed a follow-on order with Bombardier for a single Canadair Regional Jet Series 200LR, for delivery in August 1999. The deal takes Maersk's CRJ orders to six, plus nine options, of which five are for the larger Series 700 model.
-Air Canada has signed a lease deal with ILFC for one Airbus A340-300, for delivery in February 1999. The lease term is seven years.
-Debis AirFinance has completed a sale and leaseback deal with British Midland on one International Aero Engines V2500-A5 powered A320 and three A321-200s. The aircraft are due for delivery between August 1998 and March 2000, and will be taken on seven year leases.
-Transaer International has leased an ex-Air Jamaica A300B4 from General Electric Capital Aviation Services.
-Leisure International Airways has arranged a short-term wet-lease of a Boeing 757 from Taesa/Air Luxor to cover for an Airbus A320 which will be out of service for two months following a landing accident at Ibiza in May.
