Satcom Direct has launched a new company, Satcom Integration, to help customers determine and deploy the best options for fully integrated satellite communications systems in the business aviation, military, marine, and land mobile industries.
A partially owned subsidiary of Satcom Direct, Satcom Integration will offer consulting services, products, custom integration, and software applications. It will focus on system configurations and hardware integrations, creating custom solutions where necessary, and leveraging Satcom Direct for additional satellite communication services such as voice, video, data, weather, flight planning, and more, as needed by the customer.
Satcom Integration also plans to offer specialized products developed specifically to support integrated satellite communication solutions.
The firm was borne out of the need to bring some simplicity to what can be a complicated process for operators.
"As satcom systems become more popular within different markets, they also become more complicated to configure, test, and integrate," said Ken Bantoft, founder and vice president of engineering for Satcom Integration.
