Max-Viz has received US Federal Aviation Administration supplemental type certification (STC) for its EVS-1000 enhanced vision system on the Pilatus PC-12 single-engined turboprop. The STC was completed by Boise, Idaho-based Western Aircraft. The EVS-1000 is being installed on a widening range of aircraft as an aid to flightcrew situational awareness, says Portland, Oregon-based Max-Viz, including the Bombardier Challenger 600/601/604, Global Express, Dassault Falcon 50/50EX and 900A/B/C/EX and the Bell 212/412 helicopter. Approvals are pending on the Gulfstream GIV/IV-SP, Learjet 35, and Beech King Air 200/350 business aircraft, as well as the Eurocopter EC145 helicopter.
