R-R signs China deal

Rolls-Royce and Aviation Industries of China (AVIC) have signed an initial joint-venture agreement under which Xian Aero Engines (XAE) will produce blades and vanes for R-R's RB.211-535 turbofan. The agreement is an extension of XAE's programme to produce nozzle guide vanes for the Tay.
