Reims Aviation is launching a new version of its F406 twin engined turboprop. Improvements to the aircraft, dubbed the F406NG (New Generation), include uprated Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A engines offering a 135hp (100kW) increase to 635hp; an increase in maximum take off weight from 4,500kg to 4,700kg (10,350lb), and four-blade propellers; improved instrument panels and liquid crystal displays. The aircraft will make its debut at the Paris Air Show next June and is set for certification later the same year.
