UNC has completed the acquisition of the Stearns Company, a components supplier to Boeing in Seattle Washington. Stearns will be integrated into UNC's existing aero-structures unit which is also located in Seattle. Both companies have long-term manufacturing contracts with Boeing for the 777 and for the latest-generation 737. UNC expects its manufacturing division to account for $140 million of total group sales of $950 million in 1996.
