China's national airframer Comac is displaying its in-development VIP airliner for the first time at a public event outside China.
A one-tenth scale model of the aircraft, known as the CBJ, is on display alongside a similar-sized model of the ARJ21-700 regional airliner.
The CBJ will seat between 12 and 29 passengers and “can be divided into individual zones and configured to customer’s requirements”, says Comac.
Powered by two CFM International CFM34-10A turbofans, the CBJ has a maximum take-off weight of 43,500kg (95,800lb) and a range of 3,135nm (5,800km) with additional fuel tanks. Standard range for the aircraft is 1,810nm.
