Snow Aviation International has received a $5.9 million Pentagon deal for the technical demonstration of improvements to the Lockheed Martin AC-130 gunship. The contract has been awarded because of "an urgent requirement to demonstrate incremental improvements to gunship performance, particularly during take off and climb". Snow will modify the aircraft's wings, including adding tip tanks, reinforcing the wing structure, and improving the ailerons and rudder to compensate for the tip tanks. Work will be completed by June next year. General Dynamics has received a $8.1 million USN contract to upgrade PRC-112 survival radios. Malaysia has ordered two CN235Mtransports from Indonesian Aerospace in a deal worth $34.2 million. Deliveries are scheduled for July and December 2004. ATK Missile Systems is to receive a USN system development and demonstration contract for the Advanced Anti-Radiation Guided Missile (AARGM) with an option for the integration of Quick Bolt technology into AARGM. Science and Applied Technology (SAT) developed AARGM and ATK recently acquired SAT assets, including its data rights in the AARGM technology. Lockheed Martin has won a $14.3 million US Air Force contract for the development, fabrication, assembly, integration, inspection, test and delivery of the Low Altitude Navigation and Targeting Infrared For Night (LANTIRN) Aerospace Expeditionary Force Tester and Electro-Optical Test Stand Upgrade. Sikorsky has received a $34 million, five-year USN contract for the overhaul and repair of H-60 helicopter components. Options could increase the contract value to a total of $49.8 million. Boeing has been awarded a $19.6 million USN contract for maintenance of Grumman F-14 Tomcat, Lockheed Martin F-16, and Boeing F/A-18 fighters and H-60 helicopters at the Naval Strike and Air Warfare Center at NAS Fallon, Nevada.
