Engine certificated

GE Aircraft Engines has won US certification of the uprated 1,400kW (1,900shp)-class CT7-9C3 turboprop. The engine powers the CASA CN-235-300, which is scheduled to be certificated by year-end. The -9C3, coupled with a larger Hamilton Standard propeller, provides 15% more take-off thrust.
