FlightSafety Boeing Training International has confirmed orders for four Boeing Next Generation 737 full-flight simulators, all to be built by Flight-Safety International. The joint venture already operates two 737-700 simulators supplied by CAE Electronics. "We will be ordering additional devices from additional suppliers in the near future to support our growth," says president Dave Smukowski.
The first of the four new Level D machines will be delivered at the end of the year, with the remainder arriving in the second and third quarter of next year.
The two existing 737-700 simulators are in service at the former Boeing training centre in Seattle, Washington.
The new machines will have FlightSafety's ChromaView visual system, with MultiView wide-angle display, and will be built to a standard similar to that of the Boeing 777 simulator at the former FlightSafety training centre at Seattle/Tacoma Airport.
