Mexican low-cost carrier will add a Sukhoi Superjet 100 simulator to its pilot training centre at Toluca International airport within a year, say executives.

The simulator will join Interjet’s existing Airbus A320 simulator at the facility, executives said during a media tour earlier in November.

The carrier operates three 93-seat SSJs, with the third (registration XA-JLV) having entered service on 17 November. It has firm orders for another 17 and options for 10 more aircraft.

Interjet’s chief executive Jose Luis Garza and some of its pilots have praised the performance of the Russian-built aircraft. They cite a 99.02% technical dispatch reliability and its responsive inflight performance.
