Jordanian profits

Royal Jordanian trebled its operating profits to $12 million last year, thanks to cost-cutting measures. The rise in sales amounted to just 1%. Passenger traffic grew by 4.7%, although figures for cargo fell by 3% after the withdrawal of one of the airline's freighters.
