Detroit-based Spirit Airlines is leasing two McDonnell-Douglas MD-81s from Safair for eight years. The MD-81s were previously leased to now defunct African carrier Sun Air. Air Liberté of France is leasing two ex-Austrian Airlines MD-82s from Safair. Kingston, Jamaica-based Air Jamaica Express is leasing two Bombardier Dash 8-100s from AeroCentury. Cabot Aviation is remarketing a former Thai Airways International Airbus A310-200. The aircraft, which was one of the last A310-200s to be built, has recently undergone a C-check and landing gear overhaul. El Al has appointed Fortis Aviation to remarket a Pratt &Whitney PWJT9D-7J-powered Boeing 747-200 convertible.
