Greenpoint Technologies will collaborate on interior cabin designs with Spike Aerospace, a start-up that is developing the S-512 supersonic business jet.
“The S-512 supersonic interior fits perfectly in Greenpoint’s pioneering portfolio,” says Bret Neely, Greenpoint’s executive vice-president.
The companies will launch a study for the S-512’s interior layout, with the goal of creating photo-realistic renders that will be “as close to the actual product as possible”, Spike says.
Founder Vik Kachoria says: “The interior will reflect modern comforts for the next generation to conduct business faster than the speed of sound.”
The start-up has revealed performance features for the jet including a top speed of Mach 1.6 and a range of 6,200nm, with a cabin accommodating 12-18 passengers.
