Romania has contracted Thales to supply sonobuoy processor equipment for its navy fleet of IAR Brasov 330 Puma anti-submarine warfare helicopters.
The company's TMS 2000 system has previously been integrated with naval versions of the AgustaWestland AW101 and NH Industries NH90. Adding it to the Romanian navy aircraft will require only "minor modifications" to the rotorcraft, Thales says.
Flightglobal's Ascend Online Fleets database records the service as having three of the type in operational use.
