Bell Helicopter has introduced a new safety training programme for ‘first responder’ workers. Designed for firefighters, police forces and emergency medical services teams, the course teaches about the dangers and safety precautions of operating in a helicopter environment and trains people how to protect themselves and others.
Terry Eichman, Bell ‘s business development and programmes manager, says: "We want to assist the first responder community and provide them with the necessary skills to keep them safe as they perform their duties while working with and around helicopters."
Trainees will learn about the helicopter's capabilities as an emergency air vehicle, aircraft configuration design, and aircraft operating systems.
