Slovakia's police force has taken delivery of the first of two Bell Helicopter 429s it has on order. The light, twin-engined rotorcraft will be deployed in a number of roles, including border protection, search and rescue, road traffic surveillance, and natural disaster relief, says Bell

The Pratt & Whitney Canada PW207-powered 429 has been successful in the law enforcement segment since entering service in 2009, with notable sales including to police forces in Turkey and New York, where Bell has delivered 15 and four examples, respectively. Sweden's national police is gearing up to receive its first of seven units in the coming weeks.

Bell also handed over in August a VIP-configured 429 to Mexican charter company and exisiting 407GX operator, Servicios Aereos Across.

Mexico has an installed base of 360 Bell helicopters, according to the manufacturer, of which around 50 are equipped for corporate and VIP missions.
