AeroPeru entered bankruptcy in August, putting an end to remote hopes of a rescue deal for Peru's flag carrier.
The decision by creditors to reject any last-minute bids for AeroPeru did not surprise observers, who believed that an earlier failed attempt by Continental Airlines to invest in the Peruvian carrier represented the best chance for survival.
Since the Continental proposal fell through, four late rescue bids from other quarters were all said by creditors to "lack seriousness".
AeroPeru's demise opens the doors to two start-up carriers - LanPeru and TransAm.
