Doug Winter will join Aircastle as chief commercial officer at the end of April, replacing Michael Kriedberg.
Winter joins from Voyager Aviation, formerly Intrepid Aviation, where he is chief executive officer. He has also been serving as vice-chairman of Amedeo, which took a stake in Voyager last year. His 30-plus years of experience in the industry also spans leadership roles with AWAS, GECAS and Octagon Aviation.
Kriedberg, who announced his intention to retire on 1 January 2020, will become a senior adviser through the remainder of 2019, as part of the transition. He has served as commercial chief since April 2013.
"We are excited to welcome Doug as our new chief commercial officer,” states Mike Inglese, Aircastle's chief executive. "His wealth of experience across the aircraft leasing industry makes him an ideal fit to drive Aircastle's commercial strategy moving forward, and his extensive industry knowledge and capabilities will provide crucial support to the management team as we continue to execute our disciplined investment strategy."
As of 31 December 2018, Aircastle's owned and managed fleet comprised 261 aircraft leased to 81 customers across 44 countries.
