EVA Air is due to launch three times weekly flights from Kaohsiung to Ho Chi Minh City and Los Angeles from 11 June. In addition, the Taiwanese carrier is due to start three times weekly flights between Paris and Taipei via Dubai and three times weekly flights between Vienna and Taipei via Bangkok on 3 June. EVA Air is also due to commence codesharing with America West Airlines between Taipei and Los Angeles and San Francisco with connections on to Las Vegas and Phoenix from 1 June. British Airways and Qantas began codesharing on services from London/Heathrow to Sydney and Melbourne via Bangkok on 1 May. Air France was due to start codesharing on 28 May on British Midland's twice daily service between London/ Heathrow and Nice. US Airways is set to launch a daily flight from Pittsburgh to Paris on 1 October. Sabena was set to launch a six times weekly Brussels-Belfast service on 2 June. Delta Air Lines and Sabena were due to start codesharing on 1 June from Brussels to Conakry, Guinea and on 6 June to Banjul, Gambia. Japan Airlines hopes to commence twice weekly services from Tokyo to Tsingtao and Dalian in July, subject to government approval. United Airlines is due to launch a daily service from Chicago O'Hare to Buenos Aires on 9 September. Majorcan carrier Futura International is set to launch a weekly flight from Leeds/Bradford airport to Majorca on 2 July. Virgin Express was due to start three times daily flights from London/Stansted to Brussels on 17 May. Dutch regional TTA is to launch a three times daily flight from Hamburg to Gothenburg on 4 May. American Airlines started codesharing with British Midland between London/Heathrow and Manchester on 15 April. America West Airlines launched a daily service between Las Vegas and Fort Lauderdale on 4 April and a daily flight from Phoenix to Anchorage on 13 May. Southwest Airlines started daily services from Kansas City to both Orlando and Portland in April. CityJet is due to launch 26 times weekly services from East Midlands Airport to Dublin on 8 June.
