Australia's Brisbane Airport is investing A$60 million ($30 million) in new commercial buildings and apron expansions. An additional A$13 million will be invested later this year in a further concourse upgrade at the international terminal. The latest investment takes the airport's recent infrastructure spend to A$73 million, including a A$7 million quarantine and inspection building. A major rebuild of Moscow's Domodedovo Airport has attracted a number of new operators. Air Malta is the first non-CIS airline to operate scheduled services to Domodedovo, with a weekly Valletta flight, while Transaero will transfer all of its operations from Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport, including its international services. Work has started on an electric train service linking Domodedovo with the city centre. Tanzania is revamping its air navigation system under an €4.7 million ($4.2 million) programme financed by the European Investment Bank. The loan will be used to replace air traffic control equipment, including upgrading the instrument landing system at Dar es Salaam Airport to handle a projected 28% growth in passenger traffic over the next four years. In addition, ATC equipment, and airport and runway lighting at Kilimanjaro Airport will be refurbished. Funding is also being sought to upgrade Mwanza Airport in northwestern Tanzania, The revamp will include VOR/DME equipment, an apron and control tower upgrade and installation of an ILS. Nav Canada has launched operations of its new air traffic control tower in Saskatoon. Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport opened its fourth runway with the introduction of the summer timetable. US transportation secretary Norman Mineta and US airports are working to streamline US runway construction. Mineta says adding runways is one of the quickest ways to expand capacity, but the process "takes too long".
