CHC Helicopter has been revealed as a customer for the Sikorsky S-92 following receipt of multi-year contracts worth C$720 million ($540 million) from Norsk Hydro and Statoil for Norwegian North Sea offshore support. CHC will provide two dedicated S-92s, plus back-up from its pool of Eurocopter Super Puma Mk2s for Norsk, and one S-92 plus five dedicated and one back-up Super Puma Mk2s for Statoil.
