Rockwell Collins test pilot George Palmer is showing off the Pro Line Fusion upgrade for the Bombardier Challenger 604 in the NBAA static park on the eve of US Federal Aviation Administration certification.

“We’ve finished flight-testing,” says Palmer (above). “Final certification is expected by mid-November.”

The upgrade, which is priced at $600,000-650,000, involves the replacement of the existing Pro Line 4 suite with the three-panel touchscreen Fusion package incorporating synthetic vision. The installation of the package requires three weeks of downtime, says Palmer.
