Britannica Knowledge Systems (BKS, booth 2335) is at the show for the first time, offering its Fox web-based training and readiness management solution tailored for unmanned air systems.

The product, based on commercial off-the-shelf software and already used by the Israeli armed forces, is designed to help UAS training centers cope with rising demand for qualified operators.

BKS vice president of business development and marketing Miki Ringelheim says frontline units also often lack accurate, real-time information on an operator's qualifications and competencies.

"When you run a UAS operation you need to maintain currencies," he says. "There is also a big issue of scheduling and resource allocation. UAS are unique because often the mission and the crew change while the aircraft is in the air."

Fox includes automated tools to help training providers build optimized training syllabuses and identify bottlenecks that impact on training throughput.
