Mexican operator Grupo Mexicana has unveiled a new corporate identity, a blue-and-white scheme which retains, but revises, the carrier's familiar 'eagle' emblem.

It formally revealed the colours on an Airbus A320 - part of its mainline fleet - as well as an alternative version on a Fokker 100 from its Click division.

Mexicana will also carry the livery on the two Airbus A330-200s which the carrier is newly leasing to operate services to Madrid next year.

"The new image will differentiate the brand visually and build on the group's new corporate philosophy, which is geared toward service and innovation," says the company.

Mexicana has updated the company logo with a softer script which, it says, "transmit the hospitality and flexibility of an airline dedicated to customer service".

Sixty-one aircraft currently comprise the mainline Mexicana fleet - two Boeing 767-300ERs and 59 Airbus A320-family jets - while Click has 25 Fokker 100s.
