Western Aircraft has introduced a soundproofing kit for the Pilatus PC-12 single-turboprop utility aircraft. The kit, which costs $21,600 and weighs 40-55kg (90-120lb), reduces speech interference level in the cabin by 7dB (55%) and by 3dB (25%) in the cockpit, says the Boise, Idaho-based service centre.
