Japanese codes - Cathay Pacific Airways and Japan Airlines (JAL) are to start codesharing on Hong Kong-Osaka services on 28 March. JAL will also halt its Boeing 767-operated Nagoya-Hong Kong service on 1 April, when it starts codesharing on Cathay's daily service. Meanwhile, All Nippon Airways (ANA) and United Airlines are to expand their codeshare operations to include new ANA services from Tokyo to Chicago, and routes from Chicago to Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Indianapolis and Miami. A Tokyo-Singapore codeshare was due to start on 8 March. Aussie approval - Qantas Airways is awaiting approval from Australia's International Air Services Commission for a codeshare with China Eastern Airlines. Joint services are expected to begin on 28 March, between Beijing and Shanghai and Sydney. New Delhi flop - United Airlines is suspending services to New Delhi from 4 April because of low passenger loads, ending its three-year round-the-world service. Hong Kong-New Delhi and London-New Delhi services will be halted, but United hopes to launch non-stop USA-India services later this year.
