Pakistan International Airlines is planning to resume UK operations around October, after claiming formal authorisation from the UK regulator.
The carrier says it has been granted third-country operator approval.
It has been unable to serve the UK directly, having been subject to a ban since mid-2020.
But it says it aims to restore UK services “by next month”.
The airline has yet to detail the routes on which it will operate.

Pakistan International had indicated earlier this year that the restriction was being lifted, following improvements to safety oversight.
The ban had been imposed after a fatal accident in Karachi, and the disclosure that a number of pilot licences issued by the Pakistani regulator had been fraudulently obtained.
Pakistan International has third-country operator approval from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency.
