Vietnam Airlines is looking to expand its fleet with up to 30 widebody aircraft, and is seeking offers from interested parties.

The Asian flag-carrier states that it is looking for Airbus A350-900s or Boeing 787-9s to fulfil the requirement.

Vietnam Airlines has issued the invitation through its official procurement portal.

It states that the twinjets would need to be delivered over the course of 2028-32.

Vietnam Airlines is inviting parties to submit details on available aircraft

The carrier adds that it is “open to all available options”, and will consider purchasing, leasing, or subleasing the aircraft as well as “any other arrangement”.

It is seeking details from potential suppliers including the number and type of aircraft being offered, the proposed delivery schedule, cabin configuration, and indicative commercial terms.

Vietnam Airlines is asking parties to respond by 8 October. It already has a combined total of around 30 A350s and 787s in its fleet.
