Elisra Electronic Systems Ltd has given pride of place on its display at Asian Aerospace to a production version of its ACT-100 Air Crew Electronic Warfare Trainer.

The EW Training Systems is a PC-controlled Electronic Warfare pilot trainer, which features EW theory and tutorials, system operation including responses, given mission training and trainee performance evaluation.

Threat scenario and A/C flight path can be easily programmed as per the trainee requirements, say the manufacturers.

Elisra is also presenting its new generation AES-210 ESM/ELINT system, which is currently in operation on a variety of fixed and rotary wing aircraft of several countries. The new generation AES-210 uses different methods for DF measurement and fix location calculation. The AES-210 can be enhanced to achieve even higher levels of accuracy through advanced interferometric techniques.

Contracts

The Israeli electronic warfare systems specialist (Hall A736) also announces three contracts for the Israel Air Force, Royal Australian Navy and the German Ministry of Defence.

Elisra has been chosen by the Israel Air Force to supply a Passive Airborne Warning System (PAWS). In the first contract Elisra will provide PAWS to the IAF for its Sikorsky CH-53 Yasour and UH-60 Blackhawk helicopters. The company believes the order will give it a leading edge in current Air Force tenders for installation of similar systems. The IAF is also expected to order the system for its fighter aircraft.

Elisra has also been chosen by the Royal Australian Navy to supply and fully integrate a complete ESM suite for its recently-ordered Kaman Super Seasprite helicopters as well as for its Seahawk upgrade programme.

In a third contract, the German Ministry of Defence has chosen Elisra to upgrade the EW system in Sikorsky CH-53G helicopters in service with the German army. The CH-53G helicopters will be equipped with Elisra's SPS-65 Integrated Radar and Laser Airborne Self Protection System and the Rokar chaff and flare dispenser. The system will be installed by Eurocopter Germany.

The company's delegation at Asian Aerospace is headed by Brig Gen (Res) Avner Raz, president and chief executive officer.
